ONE DAY TRIPS : float the ''trophy section'' of the world famous Bow River. Spend 10-12 hours, or as short as you would like, drifting this magnificent river while you cast to rainbows and browns with potential sizes of 26-28 inches in length. Included in the day is shuttle to and from the river along with deli lunches and lots of non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. Leaders, tippet, and flies are supplied for the day but you are more than welcome to bring your own flies in hope of success. WALK and WADE TRIP - walk the Crowsnest River along with other mountain rivers of southern Alberta. We will leave MacDonald Place on a short 1 1/2 hour drive south to the Crowsnest to fish for rainbow and cutthroat's for half the day and back up thru the mountains to our choice of a few other rivers for the afternoon. All these rivers offer great dry fly action for all levels. HORSEBACK TOUR - to alpine lakes nestled just below mountain peaks of the Continental Divide. Rides take no longer than 2 1/2 hours, each way, to get to these magnificent hidden gems. Ride thru some of the most beautiful country of the Rockies. Fishing for rising cutthroat's from shore or float tubes. Take in scenery from 7000 ft. above sea level that very few people have had the pleasure of. Wildlife such as elk, moose, and deer are seen frequently with the possibilties of catching bighorn sheep at the lake for a afternoon drink. The views are undescribable and the fish plentiful, a day you won't forget anytime soon. HELICOPTER FISHING ADVENTURE - this is a long day but worth every second of the trip. Our alpine heli lakes are located 3 hours from Calgary into the glacier topped mountains between Banff and Jasper, if you are staying in Banff or Lake Louise the drive is a hour closer. Our drive will take us thru some of the most spectacular views of the Canadian Rockies on our way to the heli pad. Once we arrive we suit up and board the helicopter as it flies us thru alpine valleys and over mountain tops to one of 6 lakes we can fish depending on what species of trout you prefer. These lakes hold cutthroat, bull, and the rare Golden trout that are tuck away high above tree line nestled in alpine bowls. Our copper will drop us off beside the lake and pick us up at the end of the day when we are finished. All equipment is furnished as well as lunches and drinks. Many guests chose to make this trip a muliti day tour but for those of you who don't have the time, it's worth every second.
TWO DAY TOURS : combine 2 days of fishing with us on the Bow River the first day and the Crowsnest the second. Enjoy both of Alberta's most popular rivers during your stay. BOW RIVER OVERNIGHTER - this is one of my favorite trips we offer. You will spend 2 incredible days fishing the Bow River and camp overnight after the first day's fishing. We will pull over at the end of the day to be greeted by a tent camp all setup with the fire sparking and the coffee boiling. Supper will be served shortly after followed by a comforting beverage and stories of the day by moon light. After breakfast, the following day, we spend another full day fishing completing the ''blue ribbon'' section of the Bow River. HORSEBACK OVERNIGHTER - this is one of our most popular trips with our guests. We leave MacDonald Place and take a short 1 hour drive west to the trail head where we saddle up for your adventure. Our ride takes us back into the wilderness where a tent camp is awaiting our arrival. After unloading our equipment it's off to our high destination, an emerald green gem teaming with rising cutthroat's. At the end of the day, before dark, we desend down the mountain back to base camp aboard our trusty steeds to feast on a delicious supper by the fire and tell stories of past events as you gaze upon the millions of stars high above. On the second day you will ride back up to the alpine lake, high above, to spend the rest of the day fishing before heading back to camp to gather gear for the ride out. Fishing and camping overnight in the majestic Canadian Rockies, you just can't beat it!HELICOPTER OVERNIGHT TOURS - we offer you 2 different types of packages to chose from. Both offer 2 days of incredible sites on an alpine lake high in the rocky mountains. The difference is where you stay the night of the first day. You can enjoy our tent camp by the fire or you can be flown out to stay at on of the top lodges Banff National Park has to offer.
THREE and FOUR DAY PACKAGES : experience the entire ''trophy section'' of the Bow River on your first and third days with the Crowsnest River on your second. This tour gives you the oppurtunity to fish both of southern Alberta's famous rivers and fish for 3 different species of trout. HORSEBACK OVERNIGHTER -this package is set up the same as our 2 day trip with the difference of fishing 2 different lakes instead of 1. This trip gives you the chance to spend more time in the saddle as well as see more country and catch more fish. HELICOPTER LUXURY TOUR - spend 3 to 4 days fishing a different lake every day for Golden Trout along with cutthroat and bull trout. This is an incredible tour for those of you who like to spoil yourselves. Fly over glacier topped mountains to a remote alpine lake to fish and site see all day. When you've completed your fishing for the day the helicopter flies us back to the heli pad where we take a short journey to the spectacular Num-Ti-Jah Lodge. We will spend 2-3 nights at this picturesque setting allowing you to sit back and relax in a luxurious manner. Each day is a new day with different pleasures.THE ULTIMATE TOUR - experience the best southern Alberta has to offer. 2 days fishing the ''blue ribbon'' Bow River, 1 day fishing the popular Crowsnest River, and to top it off with 1 day on horseback up to one of our majestic alpine lakes.
