The South Ram River is one of Alberta's special Cutthroat Trout water systems . Fly across miles of mountain ranges to the 1500 to 2000 ft. canyon walls of the South Ram where our pilot will lower you to the rivers edge where you will camp for 2 nights and fish for 3 days up and down this unforgettable river. This river snakes its way thru the massive canyon with holes on every bend and runs off every hole. Many cutty's are caught during the day with some in the 20 inch range or greater. Helicopter fly fishing takes you to some of the most remote lakes and rivers in the Canadian Rockies, where you have the choice of fishing 4 different species of trout. You will helicopter in to lakes over 7,000 ft. to fish for the rare Golden Trout that can grow to 16''-18'', fly to the base of a mountain where a beautiful emerald lake has lots of Cutthroat Trout rising to dry flies. Experience an alpine lake teaming with brightly colored Brook Trout swimming along the lake's edge. Imagine a Golden Trout jumping out of the water on the end of your fly line and, as you hear rocks falling off the mountain, you look up and see wide Bighorn Sheep or Mountain Goats pausing for a brief moment to watch you play this beautiful fish; you look around and realize that you are on top of the world in its wildest form. This is a feeling only accomplished through helicopter fly fishing.
